TERRITORIAL FORCES.
Pub Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 22. The first school of instruction for officers and non-commissioned officers of the territorial and cadet forces concluded at Trcntham yesterday. The courses, which comprised machine gun and musketry instruction, and infantry drill and physical training, extended over three weeks, and were attended by 40 officers and n.c.o.'s from all prrts of the Dominion. Tho pupils were exceptionally keen, and benefited considerably as a lesult, attaining a state of proficiency which, would have done credit to any reinforcement. The n.c.o. class, who have been training for the same period as the classes before concluding was congratulated by General Robin on thenprogress. The General requested thorn to remain on to take further courses. A fresh class started to-day. Tho school will be continued until 31st May, tho end of tho Defence training year.
