EPIDEMIC COMMISSION.

(Pee Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 21. At. the Epidemic Commission to-day. Dr. Millom, representing the Auckland division of the 8.M.A., said that they were of opinion that the epidemic was an outbreak of the pandemic disease hitherto known, to the profession as influenza, being identical to that disease in older countries. He was of opinion that the infection was brought to New Zealand by more than one oversea passenger steamer, including possibly vessels returning from England with troops, including the earlier part of the draft from No. 3 General Hospital. The feeling of the profession in Auckland was that the Niagara brought the disease. This, however, was not capable of proof, and it way possible that other vessels were also responsible.
