The Modell* League’s v lews on tlio liquor question will be expounded at a public meeting to be held under the auspices of the Society in Everybody's Theatre on Monday at. 8 pun. The chair will be taken by Air J. A. Nash. M.P., and the speakers will he Mr I). M, Findlay, president, and Mr R. A. Armstrong, secretary, of the League. Tho League was originally formed to protect the interests of the moderate section of the public, as between the two extremes on tin* liquor question—-the prohibitionists on the one hand and the trade on the other.

As lids is a very important issue before the people, it is desirable that- the public shall be possessed with the facts, and not be misled by statements that are coloured by prejudice on this matter. From your practice in law, you undoubtedly recognise that a judge arrives at the truth by hearing both oi the advocates argue the case, in each other’s hearing.

If you accept this invitation and will take a seat on the platform we are prepared to carry out the following programme: The Prohibition speaker will take one hour Ip answer the address which you give on Monday evening.
You will be afforded half an hour to reply, with another half-hour for the Prohibition speaker. It desired another fifteen minutes each will he added.
