Fkou Oou Own Coebebpontdkni. The annual meeting of tho Bunnythomc Dairy Company was field in the I nolle Hall on Monday, 1 Glii. Air J. Print, i h.iruum ot directors, presided, and there were thirty shareholders present. Before the business was commenced, qu the motion o. Mr C. N. Bunsen, a motion of condolence was carried to tho following parents; Messrs W. Greenhow, B. llufcherson, J. Fowler, W. Floberstein, and J. Fabrin, who during the past year have had sons killed inaction. ',l ho secretary (Mr Bondall) then cead the annual report and balance-sheet, which showed tho company had a most, successful year, considering they were late in manufacturing cheese. During the season they had made 147 ions ol cheese and £8944 worth of butter, the total amount paid io suppliers being £15,642 6s, leaving a .surplus of £1825 11s 4d, to be used as « furtlicr payment. After the balance-sheet was dealt, with, on the motion of Mr Print, seconded by Air Dewar, the- balnacc-shcet, as read, was adopted. 'I ho election ol three retiring directors resulted in Messrs J. 11. Fowler, 11. Dewer, and O. Whitaker being elected, Tho meeting voted Ihe sum of £5 5s to the local Patriotic Parcel Fund. Other business of interest to tire company was dealt with, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the directors, the manager and staff for their services during tho past year. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
The many friends of Air and Afrs J. B. Roher.ston, late, of Bunnytiiorpo, and now residing at Kirnholfcon. will regret to bear that, they have received news that their son, Pvt, Dug. Bohersion. has been killed in action. The late Pvt. Hobfi'slon enlisted from Bunnylhorpo some three years ago, and soon after arriving in France was badly wounded, lie made a. good recovery, and again went. into the firing line, and lias nobly given his life for his country. We extend to his bereaved parents our deepest sympathy in the loss of their gallant son, who answered his country’s call.
