The high prices now ruling for furniture should influence intending buyers to attend those sales, as in every case the furniture is all new and made specially to order by leading cabinetmakers. Abraham and Williams, Ltld., report that at Raumai on tho 17th instant they bail a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a. fair attendance of buyers and bidding was brisk for all lines, and all lots changed hands at satisfactory prices We quote : Hoggets to 29s 2d, had colour stews iJ 10 3s to £ll 10s, empty cows £6 17s 6d to £lO. Yearling steers to £4 6s, springing cows to £ll, hulls £7, £ll 115,,£12 12s to 25gns. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report:—At Apiti on Tuesday we had only n small entry of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle, chiefly yearlings. \\ c made a, fair clearance at Tate rates. Good hoggets 29s 6d. small yearling heifers £2 2s to £2 10s, small mixed yearlings £5 ss, good mixed yearlings £5 17s, good yearling heifers £5 Is to £6, 20-mos heifers £7 3s 6d, good yearling Holstein steers £6 10s, empty cows £6 ICs to £7 4s, forward cows £9 10s. —At Foilding on Friday we had a small yarding of both sheen and cattle. Sheep sold well at late rates, forward cows showed an improvement, and other classes of, cattle at late rates. Good hoggets 30s 6cl. fair hoggets 23s ICd to 25s 6d. b.f, hoggets 20s 3d. empty owes 23s 10d, empty heifers £4 10s, empty cows £8 17s to £8 17s 6d, light fat cows £9 12s 6d to £9 15s.
