McMillan lias received a letter from Mrs Pomare, hon. secretary of Lady Liverpool's and Mrs Pomare s Maori soldiers’ Fund, acknowledging the sum of £4l 4s from tho Ngatowhakatore in be, and conveying tho sincere thanks ol the executive, and the pleasure it- gives hei Excellency. Mrs Pomare refers to the keen personal interest her Lx.ce!lcricy takes in tins work, and is VCl 'y pleased to find nil the Maoris working so well, enabling us to send regularly 1000 parcels for France and Egypt-
