TURKS DRIVEN BACK.

A high military authority reports that General Allonby has driven back the Turks for seven, miles to tho Brook of Kodron. and is covering Jaffa and tho railway junction towards Jerusalem.
CAVALRY BEFORE SAMSON'S BIRTHPLACE. Australian-Now Zealand Cable Association LONDON, Nov. 14. Mr Massey, war correspondent, telegraphing from Gaza on the 12th in.st.. states that General Ailonby’s pressure was exerted without a moment’s pause. This causer I the Turks to lose part of the wadi (water course) on the Sukonor line, along which they were dicing eagerly for two days. They had 13,000 men entrenched at Suketier, behind the wadi’s banks. These wadis are substantial obstacles. The banks are steep, and it is necessary to build ramps before the torrent-torn water courses can be made passable for guns. The troops are_ in wonderful condition, despite the 50 miles march. Our cavalry are now !>efore Wadi Surar (Samson’s birthplace). Wo are coming across great, quantities of Turkish ammunition. One division captured 70 waggons. which the Turks hud made no effort to destroy,
