DEFECTIVE BOMBS.
CONTRACTOR BEING PROSECUTED Received November 5, 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 4. The Minister for Munitions is prosecuting Arthur Brown, managing director of a (inn which contracted to supply the French Government with bombs for a Stokes gun. It is alleged that many bombs wore defective and would have killed the gunners in the firing. It is not believed that tho defendant acted treacherously, but with a reckless disregard of the consequences. LEAGUE FORMED. Received November 5, 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 4. Sir Arthur Yopp. Director of Food Economy, has announced the formation of a league for national safety which is to promote food economy and sign an undertaking to help in victory by preventing i waste. THE FRENCH SCANDAL, Received November 5, 10.40 a.m. PARIS. Nov. 4. Sehoeller, the Swiss industrialist, admits that his £400,000 for the purchase of Lo Journal was Gorman money.
