A report fmni the secretary of the Social Committee, P.A. Pro, J, P. Ella, showed the fund.- to be in a very creditable position. A vote of thanks was accorded to the secretary, P.A. Pro. Edo. for the successful way he has conducted the duties of his office and for the fraternal Spirit he has adopted in maintaining members keeping their contributions paid when due. A cordial welcome was extended to Pro Eliott (late secretary of the Shannon Lodge), to which Ihe brother replied in a lew well-chosen remark-. A special word of praise mu-l be accorded io tie; members of Lind Lodge for the harmonious manner in which they conduct their business, while the large attendance of members on all occasions testifies to the interest they take in Druidism. The Lodge is looked upon as being the baby lodgeof the district, and yet the manner in which their work is done and the fraternal spirit always shown, is an example that could be well emulated, and it augurs well for the prosperity of Druidism. Private T. Stokes and A. Dalziell are home on leave from camp, and the residents intend to give i hem a real gooil sendoff social on Friday night. Mr .]. .Martin, who has had control of (he Shannon Meat Co.'s business here for some considerable time will be shortly going into camp, and his position will be tilled by Mr E. Titeombe.
