CLEARING SALE OF FURNITURT

Harry Palmar and Co. will hold a clearing. sale of furniture and sundries--;OU the promises, Scandia street, .to-morrow on account of Mr ('. T. Chamberlain. The articles are specified in the notification on page 8, and include a varied assortment. of turniture, etc. in addition, a two-year-old purebred Jersey cow and a Jersey heifer calf will bo sold. The sale will commence at 1 p.m. sharp. STOCK market. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report; —At Rangiwahia a moderate entry of sheep met with good competition, and sold well. Small lambs 11s, good lambs 16s, f.m. owes 17s to 19s, good Lincoln owes 225, rams 21s to 335. At Podding, on Friday, wo had a heavy yarding of sheep, and have to report a total clearance at improved prices. Several lines of good up-country wethers met with good competition, and realised full values. A small entry of cattle,sold well, beef being in good enquiry. Small lambs 11s lOd, lair lambs 14s 9d, cull two-tobth owes 17s 3d, small 2-toot!i ewes 20s 6d, aged owes 14s 3d, 175,. 17s sd, good mixed ago ewes 23s to 25s- 6d, cull wethers 18s Id, store wethers 22s Id to 22s 3d, forward wethers 23s 6d, 245, 24s 7d, to 24s Bd. light fat wethers 23s to 25s Id, b.f. wethers 20s, fat ewes 21s to 235, light store cows £2 12s 6d, light fat cows £6 15s to £9, heavy cows £11; bulls ,£6 5s to £7 ss.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a very good entry of sheep and a very fair yarding of cattle at their Podding sale, on Friday, the 24th irist. There was a. good demand right throughput at the following prices:—Sheep: Cull Jambs ss, ss.ld, 7s Bd, to 8s 6d, small lambs 11s to Hs lid, aged owes to 13s, 4 and 5-year owes 21s to 21s lid, 2-tooth ewes 23s 6d, 24s 3d, to 255, fat and forward ewes to 18s lOd, 4-tooth maiden fat owes 22s 9d to 23s 7d, Southdown rams to 4gns. Cattle: Weaner heifers 30s, store cows to £3 11s, 15-month steers to £4- 15s 6d, light fat cows £7 to £B.
