Pearl, the evil sister, has gained the Jove of an honourable young lawyer, Curtis Holmes! who will .not marry her unless she gives up her forbidden life. She promises, and tlio wedding is announced. But Pearl elopes with a race track tout, and after an accident, reaches her sister’s hotel. Thus Cun is comes in touch with Lucy, to whom ho transfers his affections.. The father recovers, and is brought home by- Lucy. The sisters come together again, for Pearl, disguised as Lucy, sets five to t,ho hotel, is rescued,bv her father, and resolves to leave the “Path Forbidden,” and bo the comfort of her father, who needs her now that Lucy lias married Curtis.
