AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
(Br Electric Tilkobaph—Copibiobi.) (P«b Press Association.) Received January 26, 9.0 a.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 26. Hon. Mr Ashford, replying to rumours that Ministers concerned in the inception of the Wheat Act were bribed by farmers, speculators or millers, stated that not one SU inister benefited to the extent of one penny. Reasonable criticism was welcomed, but the personal probity of Ministers was surely regarded as sacred. A line of £25 and costs was imposed on a newsagent for dismissing an employee because military training interfered with the lad's work.
