30,000 RECRUITS A DAY.
SPLENDID ENTHUSIASM IN BRITAIN. LONDON'S RECORD DAY. LONDON, Sept. 8. An average of 30.000 are recruiting daily, especially for the Guards. The recruits' physiqu Q is exceptionally good. There were remarkable scenes of enthusiasm, 4833 recruiting in : Lo*don on Monday—a rocord—including several hundred non-commission-ed officers. The enrolment of a special colonial infantry unit is rapidly proceeding. The Football Association has informed the War Office that is is prepared to request all members matches if the War Office considers this will assist recruiting.
