David Snow's general store at Matawai, near Gisborne, was destroyed by fire caused by filling a-lighted lamp at a tin. BLENHEIM, July 26. A fire at Blenheim destroyed a small garage oocupied by E. H. Best. Two cars were totally destroyed. One, valued at £l5O, was insured in the Royal Offioe for £IOO, and another, valued at £350, wan ineured for £250 in the Guardian.
