WHY HE DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE. (Bi Electric Telegraph—Coptbiqht.) (FEB PBEBB ASSOCIATION 1 PERTH, Juno 23. Frederick Smith has been arrested for tho murder of his son at Tennessee. Ho statos that Iwth of them were discussing arrangements for the control of thei r respective properties when the eon lost his temper and threatened him. The father seized a gun and pointed it at his son. who rushed at his father. The latter fired, intending to aim at hi* lees, but the chariro entered the lad's body ..r-.d he rolled over dead. The father adds that he was prevented from using tho .-.ocond charge for his own destruction only by tJie thought that native dogs would get both bodies.
