MANAWATU HUNT.
The run held by the Manawatu hunt at. Bunnythorpe was one of tho most successful of the season. There was a record field, quite a large gathering of spectators, and the weather could not have boon better. Tho "csoing" was gcxxl. and only one or two spills were recorded. Messrs N. Wood and W. Farland laid the drags, tho Master, Mr D. B. McEwen, being in charge of tho field. Tho run started at Bunnythorpe and continued across country to Rangitikei lino, with a chock half-way. Tho field included tho following, who were present at tho kill:--Miss Angus, on Crusadr; Miss Meads, The Grove; Mejsre D. B. McEwen (Master), Lady Bell; J. Sexton (Huntsman). Papa and Silver Hair; D. Batcholar. Camclia; T. Buick, Flying Cloud; J. P. Connor, Ennerdale; J. Shaw. Bonnie; W. Scott, Cokers Chestnut; W. Buick. Doctor; G. F. Ranby. All Gold; N. Wood, Father; G. O'.liver. Temuka; A. Farland, Rangikura; L. Little, Tomtit; A. Buick, Pnpatotarn ; F. Moult. Ava Maria; T. Shaw, Kaka; R. H. Lancaster, Princess; J. Crook, Gipsy Dot; P. Farland, Blue Bird; 11. Lower, Lady Bird; \V. Earlo, Advancement; Roy Porrin, Pearl; W. Farland, Dreamy Daniel; H. Crawford, Locksmith. At the conclusion of the hunt the field and spectators were the guests of Mr and Mr* 11. Gillies at afternoon tea. Mr S. R. Lancaster, president, «x>nveyed to their host and hostess on behalf of the hunt, hearty thanks for their hospitality. Mr Gillie*, in reply, wished tho hunt every jucoes*. and hoi*xl to see the members again next season. A vote of thanks was passed and cheers were given for the property owners over whose land the meet had been held.
