FURIOUS SALE ON CANADIAN COAST.

A furious gale, with hail and mow, in New Brunswick, began without earning. Many vessels were overturned and the survivors reached the shore half frozen. Altogether sixty people perished. ST. JOHN'S, June 10. More than 100 lives were lost in a storm which swept the Bay of Chuleur on Thursday and Friday last week. According to reports, the storm, caused lhe greatest number of fatalities in the his tory of the north shore. The schooner Warren has arrived in port from Shippegan, New Brunswick. The captain states that the wind blew at the rate of 150 miles an hour. Her masts were all covered with seaweed. i
SCHOONER FLEET PRACTICALLY WIPED OUT. Received June 11, 1.20 a.m. OTTAWA, June 10. In the House of Commons Hon. Mr Hazen, Minister for Marine, announced that a oyclone had struck the New Brunswick fishing fleet, also destroying many fishermen's homes. Mr Hazen described the disaster as the worst in New Brunswick's history. The small schooner fleet has been practically wiped out. The Government is ready to grant assistance when deserving cases ar<.« investigated.
