A bottle containing a memorandum to the effect, that it had been thrown into the sea on December 7, 1912, at a point 100 miles south-east of Adelaido, where two great ocean currents meet, has been found on the beach near Hawera. The information in the bottle indicates that it was cast into the ocean at the instigation of the Commonwoalh meteorologist, with the object of ascertaining the now of ocean currents. The finder is communicating with the Melbourne authorities.
