WOMAN STABS DETECTIVE WITH HATPIN.
(Pbb Prfp? Association.) , CHRISTCHURCH, June 10. An exciting scene occurred last evening in a city drapery store. A woman was held for shoplifting and when the police came she struggled violently and stabbed Detective Regan with a hatpin. In court to-day Annie Dodds was remanded till Friday on a charge of stealing six pair.-! of gloves and one scarf from Armstrong's.
