(To ihb Editob.) Sir,-One must congratulate the motor bus exponents on their latest movS plebiscite to ascertain the position of ratepayers on traction. Rather a cute move that suggested to divide the tram sun! porters into two sections, and leave the motor bus people as one block vote. Still any port in a storm, and any opposition m Palmerston. Why a vote at all? Bus ites pose as such saints of economy, and jet would spend good money on an absolutely useless idea. It does not matter one iota what the result is of the votc-a poll is still to be taken, and, take it from me, trams will come out on top. Trusting the Council will dismiss this absurdity when it comes before them.—l am, etc TRAMS.
