JiiUgene Zakovsky, a Russian artist appearing in a music hall, has applied to the- police for protection. He alleges that he is being shadowed by Russian secret police, and fears assassination or kidnapping. He states that he engaged in a revolutionary propaganda in Russia.- and escaped to America, where the secret police shadowed him, and two attempts were made on his life. He fled to Australia, and was recently recognised by a Russian spy, the brother of a detective whom the revolutionaries shot dead. This man, he alleges, is clogging him.
