For months past hole.-, have been broken in the planking oi those bridges or planks liave rotten through. 'J iit* ooles iiavo been patched 1 from time to time till it is hard to tel! which is patch and which is the original planking. What concerns me moist ir the lact that a serious accident will surely occur ii this work is not attended to promptly, a id the county will haw to satisfy heavy damages where a few new planks would make the bridges sale. I don t know who is responsible for this state ol afi'airs, but I do know that the conditon of those culverts, situated as they are on one of the main trallio roads ol the county, is a standing disgrace t . i] lo council and a ihenaeo to allnvho I.a\ oto risk their lives in crossing them. -ts a ratepayer, and as one wl: i use.; this road constantly, I think it only .j"*t to ask thai this urgent work be .attended to immediately.
