Hlfc HONOR'S REMARKS. Some pointed references to Government valuations were made during tho hearing of a ea.se at the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon by Mr Justice Edwards, when counsel for defendants, referring te the value oi the land in dispute, made mention of the Government valuation. His Honor, who was advising a settlement of the ease at the time, remarked to counsel: Don't think I have never heard of Government valuations. I do -"-ot attach very great importance to them; generally sneaking, they may lie roughly correet. The Government lending department won't accept them." Mr Murphy: I am aware of that.
