NEW HEBRIDES.
AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND WILL BE CONSULTED. (Bt Electbic Telegraph—Coptbight.) (Pij> Pbess Association ) LONDON, March 3. Hon. L. Harcourt, in reply to a question' in the Commons, said the Governments of the Commonwealth and NewZealand would lie consulted before any arrangement concerning the New Hebrides was made.
Hon. F. I). Acland (Tinder-Secretary to the Foreign Office) in reply to 3Jr Kinloch Cooke, said the Government was unaware that the Commonwealth was prepared to entertain a suggestion to acquire the. French right® in the New Hebrides by purchase or exchange. The British Government did not inte7ul to purchase nor would they agree to surrender territory elsewhere m exchange.
