Thoiv is widespread interest in the first heat for J lie billiard championship with ivory balls, at Holborn Hall. George Gray if favourite, though Inman favours Recce's chSinccs. Gray scored 1413 and Recce 1225. Gray, in the afternoon, scored 751, and Recce 514. In his thirteenth innings, the young Australian scored 247 by cievcr all-round billiards. REECE TAKES THE LEAD.
