TERRITORIAL OFFICER RESIGNS

Walloek, an officer in the City of London Territorials, in a letter to the newspapers, announces his resignation owing to the possibility' of a conflict with the Ulster army. He advises all regular Territorial officers to consider their position. THE KING'S PREROGATIVE. (London Times.—Sydney Sun Special.) Received October 6, 9 a.m. LONDON. Oct. 5. Mr T. Gibson Bowles, ex-M.P., in a vigorous letter, maintains the undoubted right of the King, if there is no other means of averting the calamity, to dissolve Parliament, the alternative being to employ his prerogative and withhold his assent from the Home Rule Bill. CANADIAN ORANGEMEN WILL ASSIST. (London Times.—Sydney Sun Special.) OTTAWA, Oct. 5. Orangemen at Winnipeg have offered Sir Edward Carson a regiment of 500 drilled men to assist Ulster.
