SMALLPOX.

(Per Press Association - .) HASTINGS. Oct. 3

The smallpox patient from Pakipaki was removed to the quarantine station this afternoon. Everything possible- has been dona to prevent the spread of the disease. Tho sceno of the outbreak has been isolated and Pakipaki school closed. Orders have been given forbidding the travelling of natives, and all certificates for vaccination issued recentlv have been cancelled.

The Health Department communicated with the Hastings town clerk, asking that instructions be given to servo notices on the proprietors of public entertainments that no natives be admitted to tho.
