The re-capture of Dibra by Servia was sanguinary beyond anything hitherto in :he Balkans. Tho Albanians defended the place. house by house, and only abanloned their shelter when the walls fell ibout them. They contested every yard >f tho streets with any weapon at hand. The Servians admit the Albanians behaved like heroes. When at last tho Albanians were expelled, Dibra was a mass of smoking ruins.
