AUCKLAND COURT CASES.
(P«B Pekss ASSOaATTON.) AUCKLAND. Aug. 30. James Leonard and Phillip O'Donnell, both 19 years of age, were arrested hero on a charge of burglary in Wellington and theft of money and jewellery from the dwelling of Frederick Saunders to the value of £lO3. They were before the Court and reminded till Friday. The Supreme Court has concluded the hearing of the Onehunga cases arising out of fraud on the Union Company, involving a substantial sum by menus of fictitious pay sheets. William" Saunders, William Owen* and Richard Tyrrell wore charged with conspiracy, falsifications and forgerr. Saunders was sentenced to three years arid Ownea and Tyrol] to one year. Henry Lloyd Davis, charged with false pretences in connection with the same offence, received fix months' imprisonment. In the Supreme Court a divorce was granted in the case of William Bowclen Stephens (formerly of Dargaville) v. Eliza Ann Stephens, on the ground of misconduct with Benjamin Emrys Williams. The petitioner now resides in Christchurch.
