Followers of the great national game are all agreed that the Wellington-Auckland JT ueh on Saturday was one of the most, interesting expositions of football that has been witnessed in Wellington for a long lime. There was a very large attendance, and a large share, of favour was shown to Auckland by the "bnrraekers." When Auckland secured their first eight points for ten minutes' play in the second spell there was a groat display of jubilation. Hats were thrown high in the air. and one exuberant ha tracker, in his intense joy, threw his hat on Jhe roof of the stand, where it remained, at least until the conclusion of the match.
