The horse won a number of point-to-point steeplechases at "Home, and it is intended to run him over steeplechasing country. His owner has refused £6OO for him. Lutre, by Rangipuhi—Alpaca (dam of Peruvian), another purchase which was schooled over Rangitikei country, won the Meynell Red Coat Point-to-Point Steeplechase, which is considered the best event of its kind at Home. \ It must be very gratifying to the popular Master of the Rangitikei Hounds that, his selections of hunters for the Home sportsman have turned out such splendid successes.

STRATHMOIRA DESTROYED. (Pit PBIM AfISOGUItO*.) AUCKLAND May 28 When Strathmoirij. fell while schooling yesterday he broke his pelvis, and has since been destroyed. _ Armagh was withdrawn from tne Great Northern steeplechase this morning.
