STRUCK OFF THE ROLLS.

SERIOUS CHARGES AGAINST SOLICITOR. (Peb Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 1. The Court of Appeal eat this afternoon to hear an application of the Auckland District Law Society to make absolute a rule nisi striking Henry Edward Elliott, of Opotiki, off the rools. The grounds of the application were that Elliott had misappropriated trust funds and had also committed perjury in a judicial proceeding. Mr Reed, K.C., and Mr Endean appeared for the Society, and Mr Blair represented Elliott. The Court ordered that Elliott be struck off the rolls. A majority of the Court were of opinion*" that Elliott 6'hould be allowed to apply for re-ad-niission after three years. Costs, fifteen guineas, were allowed to the Auckland District Law Society.
