The Pall Mall Gazette savs that in the House of Lords Earl Crewe, who wound up the debate, said that if the Nonconformists had accepted a penny of the Welsh Church endowments (in teims of an amendment) the Oppositionists would accuse them of a desire to collar their share of the swag in a great robbery of the Church.
