RIFLE SHOOTING.
LINTON CLUB COMPETITIONS. The friendly rivalry between the Saturday and Wednesday members of the Linton Rifle Club led to a match in which tho Saturday team proved itself the better by the .small margin of three points. Tho weather was perfect for shooting at the lower range, 300 yds, but a slight wind affected the scores at 600 yds. A sweepstake, was also fired at the same time, but in that match handicaps wore allowed. Tho scores are as follows: TEAM'S MATCH. Saturday members: G. Craw 64, W. Ball 61, 11. Griggs 59, J. Dalziell 58, \V. Hudson 55, S. Tronminc 54. G. Newth 46; total 397. r Wednesday members: W. Stock 6l' 'F. Mills 61. J. Pickering 59, W. Randell 57. R. Lucas 57. W. Craw 53. C. Page 46; total 394.
