AUSTRALIAN LABOUR TROUBLES.

The Sunshine Harvester Company has put off 180 men owing to lack of material caused by tho mounders' strike. Tliov stato that, failing a settlement to-day ; a further 500 will be discharged, SYDNEY', Sent. 27. Troublo is threatened in South Coast collieries. Under the Wages Board award, after tho last strike, for the last six months the selling price of coal lias been 8s 8d instead of 9s 2d. This involves a proportional reduction in the hewing rate, whereto tho miners are strongly averse. A spee'al meeting of delegates and the board has been called. There is reason to believe the board will vote against, reduction.
