IMMIGRANTS ARRIVING.

(PKB PUESH ARHOniATION.I WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. The Tainui, which arrived from Hobart to-day, brought 413 passengers; of whom 356 were third class. The assisted immigrants numbered 171, comprising 116 adults and 55 children. Some 52 adults and 42 children were •nominated by relatives in New Zealand, and 64 adults and 13 children were approved by the High Commissioner. Fifty-three domestics came out in charge of a matron, Miss Martin. The passengers included 0 farmers, 35 farm labourers and 2 shepherds, Fourteen wives are rejoining their husbands in tho Dominion. All tho domestic servants have situations to go to. The capital of the grants ranged from £2 to £225. The Surrey from London via Auckland to-day'laiided 60 passengers at Wellington for various southern ports, of whom 18 were assisted immigrants.
