—■* .AFTER FIFTY YEARS OF SERVICE. (Peb Prfm AMOOUTON) WANGANUI, July 3. It is 50 years ago to-day since'Mr F A. Krull. ot Wanganui, was appointed Gorman Consul in New Zealand, and ho is tlio recipient, of/many congrat.tiliiv.ory tele, grams and Icttol-s, including messages from Sir James Carroll on bolulf of the Govornmont and from the foreign consuls of Wellington and other _ places. Mr Krull has now sent in his resignation, fooling that his ago entitles him to resign, Tho German Government lias recognised his long services by granting him tho Order of tho Crown and also the Order of the Red Eagle, and this morning he received a letter stating that his Imperial Gorman Majesty had granted him a higher Order of tho Crown with tho number 50, which Order is limited to tho issue of 50. A dinner will be given to Mr Krull by tho foreign consul's in Wellington on Thursday.
