FULLERS' PICTURES.
Messrs Fuller and Sons have_ given special attention to the selection. of. the programme to be presented tonight, and it is questionable whether a better set of pictures has ever been seen here, and that is saying a great deal. The films arc all new, clear and flickerless, and will be shown to the accompaniment of the popular Symphony Orchestra. The star item is "A Tale of Two Cities," a. grand historical drama of the French revolution, from the novel by Chas, Dickens, in three acts and fifty tableaux. The groat struggle in the eighteenth century of the French people against the tyrannical despotism of the governing classes led to the terrible 6ories of events which shocked the world. From this chaos and disorder, however, the new era of liberty came into being, and has spread with beneficial effect i into other lands. This great movement baa been vividly depicted in the powerful romance of love and adventure by the great novelist, and its principal episodes are reproduced in this remarkable cinematograph portrayal. A striking picture drama, entitled "Conscience," depicts the building up of a circumstantial case of murder. Another . intensely dramatic subject is "The Mission' Carrier," a Mexican tale of love and jealousy, Two very laughable comedies will be shown, "The Rev. Goodleigh's Courtship" and a picture enactment of that famous comedy "Charley's Aunt." The programme as a whole challenges comparison.
JOCK WILLIS-DAVE SMITH COMBINATION. The above combination will inaugurate a two nights' season at the Municipal Opera House on Monday and Tuesday next, June 26th and 27th, when they "'ill present a varied and refined programme of musical _ gems, humourous monologues, fascinating comedies and the latest song successes. One of the outstanding features of the entertainment'is the athletic display by Mr Dave Smith, the chammon middleweight boxer, who will introduce ball punching, shadow sparring and rope skipping.
