Minister of Labour, informed a dcpViiiitipiU:;bQ ladies, that a Domestic Science College had. been established a few. months ago. Ono member of ■ the deputation urged that if tho college only .succeeded in turning out. a few good cooks .it would do something, for the roof of all domestic troubles and divorce proceedings was the word indigestion. Mr Boeby said the object of the college was to train teachers who would .impart their knowledge.' to the children of every important school.. 'He did not think the attempt to estublish;,:.a;:.;collcgo to train domestic servants would succeed at present, lie looked forward to the time when a. domestic would do eight hours' work and then leave. If 'anybody, wanted the luxury of another eight hours' work they would have to gd-a second shift of girls.
