Regret ,is expressed at the death of .Mrs Annie Williscroft, which occurred on Monday afternoon, at about 3 p.m. Deceased, who was 43 of age, had been a sufferer for the last two years, from consumption, and although everything possiblo was done, medical skill was of no avail. Deceased leaves a, husband, Mr Fred Williscroft, and a family of eight young .children to mourn her loss. ,_ On Sunday morning, while taking part in the Salvation Army open air meeting, Mr Dunn,, of Stoney Creek, fell to the ground. On assisting him to • rise, it was found that he had a paralytio seizure. Ho was conveyed to hie home,, and is progressing as favourably as can be expected.

Residents of the district will bo pleased to hear that the Rev. A. Payne,;who has been on the sick list for the last month, is somewhat better, although ho cannot yet leave his residence. • For some time the members, of. the Methodist Congregation have recognised that their church is not so large or well situated as they would like, and several meetings, to consider the question havo been held, the result being that plans ef a new church have been obtained. The new church will be situated in a more central position than the present one.
