HOME RULE.
REMARKABLE STATEMENT BY DELEGATES. KING WILL USE HIS PREROGATIVE. (Per Press association, i ■ MASTERTON, May 4. The Irish envoys delivered addresses in the Town Hall to-night to a fairly largo and most enthusiastic- audience. The chief speaker was Mr Hazleton, who emphasised the fact that Home Rule did not mean sectarianism. Two of the speakers asserted that if. the Lords rejected the Veto Bill, upon which the Homo Rule Bill depended, tho King had given guarantees which would enable Mr Aequith to swamp tho Lords with Libera] Peers. A collection was taken up, which resulted in a handsome sum being raised. Mr Hazleton leaves to-morrow for Hastings, where he addresses publio meetings on Saturday. Messrs. Redmond and Donovan will probably stay hero till Saturday, and then leave- for Taranaki,
