Harcourt, Secretary of State for the Colonies, in reply to a question, said. the Government, had requested Earl Dudley to obtain reports of the referendum in tlio Commonwealth (Unionist cheere). Major Archershee asked if the. referendum had destroyed the repr.e : sentative system in Australia, but'received no answer. '
