In the Commons, Mr Asquith secured tho closure on the Revenue Bill so as to ensure- the third reading on Thursday instead of to-morrow. Mr Balfour strenuously protested,' declaring that Mr Asquith had reached the climax of his career as a curtailer of the liberty of the Commons.
