PALMERSTON v. PAHIATUA,

A team from the Palmorston Tennis Club journeyed to Pahiatua on Saturday and met tlio holders of the County Cup on their own ground. Pahiatua were tho strongest team, and obtained the victory by 12 sets (157 games) to 8 sots (137 games). Palmerston's downfall was principally in the ladies' division. Tho men held their own, winning five out of tlio seven men's singles played. Tho results were as follows, the Pahiatua player being mentioned first in each case:
