Mr S.' Barry, eyesight specialist, returned to Auckland today, He will bo in Palmerston again'in September. Dr. Boyd, who has been practising in Wellington for tho past six years, has beea appointed superintendent of thu Taihapc Hospital. Mr L. G. West, who recently had » sudden and somewhat severe seizure, has been ordered an entire rest, _ Ho will leave on an Australian tour in a few days, and it is to bo hoped with benclicial results.
The friends of Mr R, D. Knight, the well-known horso breeder, of Karerc, will regret to hear that he had the misfortune to bo kicked by a horse belonging to a consignment ho was shipping at Wellington yesterday, and was somowhat severely injured. Ho is now at his homo, but it will bo somo days before lie will be able to bo about,
A well-known resident of Palmerston, Mr R. Armstrong, of Foxton Lino, accompanied by his family, will leave early next month to take up his residence in Salt Like City, U.S.A. Mr Armstrong lias been a resident of this town for about a quarter of a. century. Some years ago lie embraced the Mormon faith, and now intends to settle in the State of Utah, which nas been built up by the energy of the Latter Day Saints
