APPREHENDED FOR WIFE DESERTION. iPEE PtWW iBRWITATION 1 ASHBURTON, Feb. 24. Walter "Willrie, who stated that he was a solicitor practising in a Taranaki town, appeared on a. charge of having deserted his wife at New Plymouth. Wilkio, who was remanded to appear in New Plymouth on Tuesday, protested that some great mistake had been made in the. issue of the warrant, as he had only, been away from home seven days. Bail was allowed.
