TO-NIGHT'S ORCHESTRAL : CONCERT. To-night the fifteenth season of the Palmerston Orchestral Society's successful career opens, and the concert promises to rank with the most enjoyable of its predecessors. Last evening the final rehearsal was held in the Opera House, and was distinctly successful. The orchestra is stronger than it has been for some time past, and it is to be further strengthened to-night by the addition of Messrs Percy Tombs and Frank Johnstone. Those who attend to-night are_ reminded that they will materially assist a successful evening by being in their seats a few minutes before time instead of a few minutes after. Ushers aro requested to be at the Opera House by 7 o'clock. ' Miss O'Brien, who is to be one of the vocalists, has unfortunately been indisposed for the past few days, but she has now sufficiently recovered to appear. She I is to contribute two songs: —"Melisande in the Wood" (Goetz) and "The Blue Alsatian Mountains" (Adams). HAYWARD'S PICTURES. ' The Zealandia.
