The Minister of Customs has held a searching inquiry with regard to factories responsible for shipping butter, about which eomplainte of excessive moisture have been received from London.

The Minister saye there is no adequate explanation of the climatic or other condition which sufficiently accounts for Australian butter bringirfg much less in London than New Zealand butter. There must be screws loose somewhere, and the eooner. they are tightened up the better.
