AUCTION SALES
The M.A.C. advertise their usual Saturday's auction sale to be held at the Exchange Rooms, No. 1, Cuba street, commencing at 12 noon. They will offer a large lino of young laying fowls, rabbits, prime tabic potatoes, onions, carrots, and other farm produce, English piano in good order, new and secondhand furniture, consisting of some very choice lines, which are worth the inspection of buyers, also large lot of useful sundries without reserve.
Harry Palmer announces that he holds his weekly auction sale to-morrow, commencing at 12 o'clock sharp. The entries in the pig and poultry department are very numerous, some very fine cockcrels and pullets being among the poultry. In tho produce will be found everything required by tho household, including potatoes, wheat, onions, oats, chaff, pumpkins and melons. There is a large quantity of household furniture, tools and effects to be sold absolutely without reserve. With this issue Mounsey and Co. advertise a list of articles to be sold _at their mart sale to-morrow, commencing at 1 p.m. The goods to be offered include 9-picce suite, kauri sideboards, White sewing machine, 36 Austrian chairs, bedsteads and bedding, linoleums. As the whole consignment is under biU of sale it mu6t be- sold absolutely to the highest bidder, thus affording an excellent opportunity for those who are furnishing to do so at a moderate cost. Also 4yr old Tiorse suitable for express or milk cart, 1 spring- cart (good), and 3 shops to let with living rooms in Cuba street. Harry Palmer announces that ho will sell on account of Mrs Boyce the whole of her household furniture and effects on Wednesday next, Juno 1. The sale will be held on the premises, 94 Broad street, and will comprise all tho articles to be found in a well-furnished 6-roomed house. Mounsey and Co. have been favoured with instructions from Mrs Allan to sell at her residence, 65 Ferguson street West, the whole of her household furniture and effects, dairy cows, etc., on Wednesday next at 1 p.m. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have been instructed by the trustees in the estate of T. C. Denton to sell by public auction at the Feikling saleyards on Friday. June 17, two first-class dairy farms at Waiata, in the Harbour Board Block, twelve miles from Feilding, and miles from Cheltenham. STOCK REPORTS. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report At Palmerston on Thursday a mediur entry of stock was offered. Bidding wa not brisk, and several lines were passe at auction. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmersto North, report: At our Palmerston Nort sale on Thursday, 26th inst., a good yar( ing of both sheep and cattle camc fo ward. Although several lines were pas ed at auction, we disposed of the who of our yarding with the exception < one small pen of sheep. THE MUTTON MARKET. (Peii Press Association/) NAPIER, May 27. - The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has cfibled, the following report on the frozen meat market: —The mutton market continues depressed, but the values of lamb and beef have advanced ,Ad per lb. To-day's prices:—Canterbury mutton, 3?d ; Napier, Wellington, and North Island jgßutton. 3§d; lamb, first quality s|d. serori.d quality ; beef, hindquarters 4gd, ftfrdquartors, 4ad.
