Balgownie Hack.—Waimoko 1, Strathmoira 2, Tarn Glen 3. All started. Time, 2.0 1-5.
Hack Hurdles. —Maharanui 1, Woolloomooloo 2, Chase Mab 3. Scratched: Waipuhi and Nightmare. The race was a chapter of accidents, Nicotine falling and bringing down Merrie Lawn, while Beeline hit a hurdle hard and Lyford fell off. All the riders escaped without serious injury. After a great finish Maharanui won by a nose. Time, 3.6.
